Our journey into the world of non-toxic living didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in our own living room. While we have always lived holistically, becoming parents shifted everything into overdrive. With the arrival of our oldest daughter (now 4.5) and our 17-month-old daughter, we found ourselves questioning everything, from the food on our table to the ingredients in the bottles under our sink.
We wanted a home where our kids could crawl on the floors and breathe deep without us worrying about what was left behind. As people with an uncompromising standard for cleanliness and a deep passion for non-toxic living, we realized that conventional cleaning products leave behind chemical aftertastes and warning labels that have no place in a home sanctuary.
When we looked for a local service that could provide both high-end deep-clean results and true environmental safety for our children, we found little to no companies who were doing it right. So, we decided to build it ourselves.

The Vision for Southeastern Indiana
Founded right here in Batesville, Clean & Conscious Co. was born from a simple vision: to provide our neighbors in Batesville, Oldenburg, and Southeastern Indiana with a higher standard of home care.
We’ve replaced harsh bleaches and synthetic fragrances with advanced plant-based chemistry and hospital-grade HEPA filtration. We aren’t just a cleaning crew; we are a health-conscious team. We treat every home with the same integrity, care, and obsession with detail that we provide for our own family.
Clean & Conscious Co. clients choose us because they are done settling. Families with newborns, households managing asthma or allergies, homeowners undergoing chemotherapy, and small business owners who do not want their staff or clients breathing synthetic fragrance and bleach fumes all day. They are looking for a cleaner who treats indoor air quality like it matters. We do.
Meet the owners
Travis & Caitlyn Lake
Founders
Travis and Caitlyn live in Batesville with their two daughters. They built Clean & Conscious Co. around the standard they hold in their own home: plant-based only, HEPA-filtered, and scent-free. If it would not be in their children’s bedroom, it is not in yours.
Travis and Caitlyn are owner-operators. They handle the business side personally, including scheduling, client communication, and quality control. The cleans themselves are performed by trained specialists they hire. As Clean & Conscious Co. grows over the next 12 months, we plan to bring on a virtual assistant and a manager, and to expand to three cleaning teams so more Southeastern Indiana families can experience the same standard.
